@mejsmith1 … a statement like that is honestly ignorant. Yes, I have never met you and call me what you will, but I would never say that about you. I know that Rush gives millions to charity but I guess that’s Heartless. My father for example, is successful, owning two companies, and he gives “lots” to help various families and pays his employees very nicely. The fact is, it is the “rich” that create and give jobs to folks. You’re smart I’m sure. You’re better then to pull that. Thanks.
@mejsmith1 … example of someone with great wealth that served God. Everyone quotes 1 Timothy 6:10 saying that money is the root of all evil but that isn’t what it says. Its the “love” of money. If money controls our actions then we are in the wrong but its not a sin to have. Job 42:10 is an example of God giving a man wealth. FInally, I just want to say that I don’t agree with your belief about Rush or his followers. The reality is you have never met Rush, nor all of his followers. To say…
@mejsmith1 To answer the first question no, Luke 6:34-36, Deuteronomy 24:10-13. Most of the verses are in the Old Testament, dealing with the Law. I don’t even want to pretend to be able to give you a good answer for the fact that I’m no Bible scholar. What I can say is that I agree with your anger towards the Pharisees and Christ would agree as well. Calling for the disciples to give up everything and follow Christ wasn’t focused on the material money but rather the heart. King Solomon is an…
@Living4Christ7 So you support Usury? In the Bible, which I assume you are religious based on your handle, usury, ie loaning money with interest, is a major sin. Also, isn’t there a quote in the NT about giving away all your money and following Jesus. If I was to use a Biblical analogy for Rush and his supporters, it would be the Pharisees. Heartless bastards who use religion to further their own ends at the cost of others. That my friend, is against your religion.
@Living4Christ7 I agree with what you said. Corporations aren’t left wing or right wing, their goal is to just make money. However, I think the desire for power is more on the right, because that nearly every republican politician is bought by lobbyists. Thus, they care about corporations more than people. The democrats aren’t much better, though. Also, I dislike Rush Limbaugh and think he is a hateful man which is the exact opposite of what Jesus taught.
@chafenhimer Continued 2. Man I hate these character limits. Anyway, I listen to his show often and what I hear is a man that does love his country. Now yes he can phrase the ideas in a confrontational way but there are lots of folks who say much worse about him. I make no apology in saying that I agree with the majority of what Rush says and believe that, being a business economics guy, the leftist side of thinking simply doesn’t work. Appreciate the comment though.
@chafenhimer Continued. These corporations were lead by people who, based upon a Biblical perspective, have wicked hearts and, as we all are capable at times, focused on self. This idea of being self-focused is definitely seen in some corporations today but it is also seen in government as well. When we become focused on ourselves, we want more power. Even though this desire for power is seen on both sides, it is most certainly more so on the left. Wanting to basically control everything.
@chafenhimer 1. haha man who said Rush was Jesus? The fact is Rush is a man like the rest of us in need of a savior. If he has already experienced God’s grace great, but I don’t put Rush in the same category with Christ. The Bible underlining message, other than a relationship, is personal responsibility and the ability to choose Christ or the world. So these corporations needed to choose what was Biblically right. Instead they chose to glorify themselves.
@Living4Christ7 Totally agreed, Jesus would definitely support the corporations. Rush Limbaugh is basically Jesus reincarnate. Just listen to his radio show and you’ll hear how loving he is.
@poindexterwitkowsky Dont you get it, being a democratic liberal makes YOU a facist. Duh.
@cmills1988 Also, the government has been very friendly to banks. For instance, the repealing of the Glas Steagle act that made all this “Casino” economy legal. If banks were being forced to make risky loans by the government all this time, why didn’t they speak out before this happened?
@Living4Christ7 Rush is lying. You can’t trust, he’s lying. He’s lying. This is the perfect example of lying. I don’t know how else to tell you. He’s lying.
Ok so we get mad about the banks “stealing” 13 billion dollars from us and then the folks currently running the country just stole over a $ trillion of our money. Also its a fact that the government mandated the loans. There was corruption yes but look up how much money Barney Frank made off of it. Keep spewing the same old stuff about Rush. The fact is he has the most listened to radio show out there and this video has just over 20,000 hits. Go ahead and keep fueling his fire.
Saying the banks are the victims, is like saying the nazis were the victims of the Holocaust. Rush, you can fool some of the people . . .even yourself.
banks are the vitems they just plungede us into a depresion that the like of we have’t seen since 1928
Rush is clueless on this. He has this mentality that private industry is never evil only the government. Hey Rush, they are all evil, the government and the banksters are all in bed together. The banksters RUN the government Rush, wake up.
RUSH IS A SHILL, we all know that, the system is more than ever exposed to the corrupted system benefiting to those in office paid for by bank and energy cartels,
No bank was ever forced to do anything. The Community Reinvestment Act laid out guidelines for banks to lend to people in areas where credit was typically hard to obtain. There are no sanctions for not meeting the guidelines, and there were no requirements that forced banks to make risky loans. Also, Goldman Sachs in particular does not loan to individuals (as Cenk pointed out).
Maybe if Rush took sodium pentathol instead of Oxycontin, he would make some more sense.
The government forcing banks to do anything, that is laughable. Looking around, it looks more like the opposite.
Don’t even give Rush the satisfaction of getting even one minute of my time for any reason
@TheBigfranco1 So what! anti semite! It’s a shame for you
Rush “shit for brains” Limbaugh, the banks are victims of their own greed. TARP shouldn’t have happened. These corrupted institutions should have been left to fail. Instead we’ve put a band-aid on a gunshot wound.
the government didnt MAKE anyone do anything. The gov. deregulated wallst. and wallst. went nuts making money like wallst. does.
Rush is so biased that he likely believes what he is saying here, not just a talking point.
Emma Goldman… Goldman-Sachs… Leon Czolgosz… Leon Panetta… Julian Assange…
Gold Standard Act of 1900… Federal Reserve Act… Chinese Boxer Rebellion of 1900… U.S. trade debt with China… the assassination of REPUBLICAN U.S President William McKinley…
Think about that for a minute… get back to me when you have pulled your head out of your ass…
Look. Money insulates you from alot of bad shit…. Rush is a prime example. So is Al Gore.. So are….” list off rich people.”.. When it comes down, I know where i’m headed=) To the head of the snake, to cut it off.. Thank me later..
