Here in America, the Marines are one of our four basic service branches, they’re very well trained and far surpass our Army, but they aren’t Special Forces.
ROYAL Marines are more like America’s Navy SEALs. They’re trained to survive and operate in areas the average soldier couldn’t
As an American who ships to USMC Basic Training in October, I can only hope to have the spirit and love for my country these guys have. Far as I’m concerned, they’re our brothers, and I’ll die with them any day.
@mmaisgr8 its mostly ill informed American kids who grow up on Hollywood movies where America saves the world in ww2 without mention of any other nation. they trash talk on French, Canadian, Australian etc… military videos etc… Canada helped liberate Holland and played a huge role in sending supplies to the U.K more then the U.S but we don’t have a cock in our asses, our country did what had to be done in support of the commonwealth and the greater good.

@BritPatriotUK Exactly what i’ve been trying to say, Also Americans think they won World war 2 by themselves. apart from the enemy they lost the most soldiers because they didn’t know how to fight in Europe. But UK troops have been brought up in Practically the same environment (Cold,Wet & before the ban Trained with rifles in Europe’s weather) And in World War 1 they shouldn’t even be Mentioned (Apart from the Deceased R.I.P) They were too late to make a Difference It was Brave British Soldiers

You cannot compare the USMC to the RMC, unless you have full knowledge of the training, weaponry, capability, size, budget, etc. for BOTH forces, which would be be classified.
You can’t even say that USMC are better because it is bigger than the RMC, because if there’s anything we’re learning from Afghanistan, it’s that wars aren’t won through sheer force.
Besides, we’re allies and I’d be equally happy to see a US Marine saving my arse than I would a Royal Marine.
