Cone Combat II: Clash of The Cones (Epic Reach Machinima)
April 8, 2011 | Posted by admin Shortly after Bill Collins is kicked from the MLG Association for fantasizing the cone army in the first Cone Combat, he meets a friendly cone Pokey at the hyrdrofacility he is sent to work at. Together they will create a new army and bring the MLG down. However, the MLG has plans to stop them. This is a sequel to the first Cone Combat, which took about a weekend to make and was truly awesome. This one took much longer, hours of compositing the cones and camping stools. The hardest part was having to cut it short due to the Youtube time limit. I planned to draw out some scenes and conversations a bit more for character development, but I guess this still works. This was my submission to the Machinination “Say No To The Cone” contest.

@Retrograde2009: I rotated the cones in forge, then masked them in editing program.
The heatmaps were taken off of bungie.net. Kills with Assault Rifle on Boneyard, then I changed the weight to get different heat levels.
Great golly! I have to ask, as a fellow Machinima creator. How did you get the cones to spin sideways? Unless that was actual forge and not an image thrown into a program. And if I can pester you with one more question, how did you get such a nice briefing screen with heat maps?

But how did the cones chase the Moas… aren’t they only in campaign? Theres no forge in campaign o.O 4:17
